Broadband connection to the outside world. Presumably this is largely dependant on the YotT Possible Hotels.

The Wiki and Forums need to be accessible to members when at the con via an intranet. Upload areas for photos taken at the con.
[edit] Networking
The ideal is to enable every bedroom and function space access to the internet. Depending on the hotel this may not be possible. May have to put wireless access points / routers at key location and hope the coverage is good enough.

Old PCs in public areas (bar, second programme) that anyone can use for web-serving and playing Doom etc.

Several people I know have a number of them we could borrow. Hopefully these will be cheaper by 2007

Do we need this? How do we get this on a YotT Budget?
I don't know how much it will be needed (depends on the programme!), but I have PA, mics, speakers etc. as I used at the Eastercon (in the Edward). I would imagine that with a 200 person hall some kind of reinforcement would help. Chris Croughton (Keris)

On paper? how quaint. I kind of like paper newsletters but they are a pain to produce without a lot of help. Does anyone else want to help produce one? I cant see us all spending a con online updating our LIveJournals and reading our friends pages.

I typically have a number of spare machines which can be used for convention newsletters or similar. Alot people have their own wifi enabled laptops nowadays and so that may be the simplest route. Oh - and I did the "electronic scoreboard and photo display" at Lazlar Lyricon 2 AlexMcLintock
