Who
I will bring Lego and K'Nex to the con and chair a workshop.
I have a decent amount of Lego (technical and Star Wars) and KNex. I am happy to bring it to the con if enough people actually want me to. AlexMcLintock ARGH - I cant come. Please contact me in case you can take over this programme item.
If you want to do anything with Lego then please add something here so that I can judge the level of interest.
Please bring your own models if they are space/science fiction related. We can do a mini exhibition of models which wont get dismantled at the con. If you have spare gray board then bring it along.
Whotheheckami My boys and I would be up for getting involved with this. Evan has made quite a few stop motion pictures using both Lego Studios and iBoinx.

There will be NO CHILD CARE at this programme item. You are entirely responsible for your own children - Do not drop your kids off with us and expect them to be looked after.

If enough people with an interest in Lego are planning to attend, how about coming up with a theme for people to build interlocking modules that could be linked together at the con? Perhaps along the lines of Moonbase. lostcarpark
Bazooka is the man to talk to. With spiderman legpo, and now Batman lego, these are some good SF connections. I wonder would some sort of Stop motion, radio play type thing work???? Hmmm, maybe something inventive with Hary Potter???? James
Whotheheckami The moonbase idea would really work. Does anyone know anyone at Lego to see if they would be interested in supporting a Con. They must have a demo kit
I will definitely bring some Lego. I have the boxes of worldcon YAFA Lego and I can bring Star Wars models and Spiderman models but I don't have any of the Batman kits. As for getting The Lego Company involved, this is very unlikely. The Lego club that I am a member of, the Brickish Association, has very good links with Lego and we have had very little support from them for club events to date. I can make enquiries though. There are some great space/SF theme model makers in the BA, I can ask if any of them would like to come along to show and tell. Bazooka!.
Misc
I have a box of Lego which is sorted by colour which I don't really mind people getting out, but I would prefer it if it stayed semi-sorted... Also, not much of it is themed or anything like that, since any complete sets I did have were sold on eBay a long time ago! John Coxon 11:39, 25 April 2006 (BST)
Movie Making
Do we want to make a stop motion movie or would that be too ambitious? Maybe a photo story?

AlexMcLintock has a lot of this but would prefer not to bring it unless there is the demand.
KNex
The thing about KNex is that it isnt much good for anything other than building big things. Can we make some sort of competition out of it such as giving two teams identical amounts of KNex and setting them to build a tower?
