As a reminder to people who are not keeping up with news via the Wiki, LJ or email, we are sending out a letter to all the Teledudes to let them know what to bring, how to get to the con and other information need before hand.

Hello Teledudes,

Teledu is only two weeks away. It's time to get organised.

If you haven't booked your hotel room then get a move on! There are only 10 rooms available, which can be used as doubles or singles but there are no remaining twins. Call the hotel now on (0116) 2886161.

There is a lot going on at Teledu and some things need a bit of preparation on your part. The headlines are below, but do have a look at the Programme Grid and the What To Bring page to get the whole story.

Friday night is the disco so bring your glad rags and as it's an MP3 disco, you provide the music. Email your top three disco tracks to jimdeliscard+mp3 [at] gmail [dot] com.

Saturday is hall costume day. This is a chance to get out the fancy dress and wander around as an alien, book or screen character, or whatever else your warped mind might design.

Saturday evening is Cabaret, so dig out your DJ's and party frocks. We also need people to take part in the Cabaret, so brush up your stand up routine, dust off your magic tricks and lubricate your vocal cords.

Sunday is Fannish Pride Day. A chance to don your oldest fan t-shirt, adorn it with decades worth of convention badges and walk tall amongst your fellow fans.

There will also be a sports day, water pistol fights and other outdoor activities, so spare clothes you're happy to get messy might be needed.

The Fannish Living Room needs your tat: Inflatable furniture, plasma balls, board games, decorations and anything else that you think will brighten up your home-from-home.

There are lots of craft and art related programme items. Bring along your knitting or sewing for the Stich'n'Bitch, shiny things for the Artist Trading Cards and anything else you can think of that you, or someone else, might be able to create something from.

There will be limited free WiFi and a PC & printer to let you print out your photos at the con, so bring all your techno gear.

There are directions on how to get to the hotel on the web site. Look for the Getting There By Road/Rail/Plane links from the wiki's front page.

See you soon.
