3D twister: 3 conventional mats, in a corner. Zero G option considered cheating.

Abigail first suggested: A very large version of twister - ie lots of participants. Either a large sheet/lino or something with coloured blobs or several small twisters stuck together - I expect a lot of the attendees will have it in their games collection and could bring it along. Probably better as an outdoor activity if we have an outdoor space.

[info]frandowdsofa 2006-01-26 11:00 pm UTC (link) You can get garden versions which are large and robust - the last Plokta-con played it, where there were two LARGE teams with a few members on the mat and others who could just answer questions to get the right to move the people on the mat.

It was great fun though, and certainly worth re-doing - meant us un-flexible people could play too.

[info]tregenza 2006-01-27 10:27 am UTC (link) Could you make this even sillier by making it a three legged / three arm version?

Get pairs of people and tie their legs together as per a three legged race and do the same for the hands. Now play twister. The extra reach plus the third leg / arms could make things interesting.

[info]munchkinstein 2006-01-27 01:00 pm UTC (link) I have seen it done with stickers attached to body parts instead. Thus you end up with someone trying to put their left foot on your forehead to name a less embarrasing bodypart.

Alison Scott here -- I have got a garden version of Twister, as purchased for plokta.con. So I'd be happy to bring it or lend it. We have a long-standing con version of Twister, where you divide people into teams and read out questions -- some people go on the mat, but others act as their supporters and just read out questions to help them. Definitely outdoors if the weather's good. Questions can be science fiction or just regular trivial pursuit or similar.

Web REsearch

It seems like lots of companies will sell you over sized games including twister...
