Fannish Living Room
From YearOfTheTeledu
Action
Named Organiser: Tregenza
When: Friday onwards
Where: Wigston 2
Duration: All Weekend
The Fannish Living Room will be taking place in the Wigston 2 room that sits between the public bar and the function space.
This will be a very informal programme item area and general chill out zone. The concept is to recreate what you find in a Fan's living room, e.g. books, fanzines, games, tat and gadgets. We will get some sofas and a couple of tables from the hotel to make it a comfortable place to sit. Being so close to the programme items and the bar it will be great place to sit whilst the convention comes to you.

[edit] Ideas
A library shelf where for copies of books that are talked about in programme items for people to browse through (but would go back to their original owners at the end of the weekend)
A radio for the Archers addicts at the convention.
A PC for members to browse the net, pick up email and upload con photos to Flickr. -- Abi providing
Printer - To be purchased. Probably a CANON Pixma iP4300 (another review) plus photo paper, plus spare ink.
Board and card games, big jigsaw puzzle.
Photos from past conventions, ZZ9 / Sproutlore outings, etc.
[edit] Book Crossing
A Book Crossing book shelf. - Flick thought that people might want to dump a load of books without the hassle of creating a book crossing account. Is it possible to print out the book crossing stickers before hand? - Tregenza
Yes and yes. One Teledu Book Crossing bookshelf. If someone wants to volunteer to take charge of registering books on the day that would be splendid - Darth Tigger
Alex McLintock volunteers to organise this as well as bring a long a lot of books (good ones). I will liase with Darth Tigger about access to the YotT account and pre-print some stickers but I would like some help before the event registering books early if possible.
[edit] LFF
The LFF would like to have two tables (whatever the hotel has that's dealers' room sized or a bit smaller) and a couple of chairs so that it can do its LFF stuff.
[edit] Cons & Clubs
LX Con require a small table required to pimp their wares.
