[edit] DotT Write Up - 10th March

Thanks to Dop, Abi, James, Ian, Jim, Jane, Kay, Meike, Jess, Doug, Charlotte and Kathy for attending on Saturday and a special thanks to Mark and Claire for hosting us.

Where we are We have 78 fully paid up members and should break-even at about 100. The major events on the horizon are Eastercon (6th-9th April), Confounding Tales (End of May), the freezing of the programme (June 20th) and the convention itself (July 20th).

Eastercon Teledu's aims at Eastercon are to generate lots of publicity and to convert that publicity into money & members. We have Dealers Table and obviously plan to have various posters and flyers about. We will also have the Fanzine of the Teledu to hand out. There is also a reprise of the Teledu Challenge that went so well at Redemption. Other ideas for publicity are encouraged.

Programme We had various ideas kicked around, such as Eastercon Reading List, Teaching the Controversy and Sean's Quiz and the Physiology of Geeks. A couple of items made it to the schedule: Something Wiki This Way Comes and Vote with your Arse. There was also talk about a Sports Day and a Stich'n'Bitch.

There was also a discussion about the problem of people who are interested in doing programme items but lack the confidence to suggest or run them.

The next DotT will be on the 12th May in Croydon, exact location to be confirmed. After that there are two more DotTs, the 16th June and the 7th July before the convention. At least one of these will involve a visit to the hotel.

Location: Croydon

Time: 2pm

Agenda: Programming plus planning for Eastercon
