Con Badges are funny things.


  • A good con badge can be a souvenir for years to come.
  • They help you identify who is who
  • they are important for security so that non members can be identified easily as non members
  • Poor badge design can be irritating and cause trouble
  • We do need those stinking badgers" (Thanks Dop!)


[edit] Equipment

We used to have a round button type badge machine which got passed round various conventions. This is generally disliked nowadays because of the hassle of sticking pins through clothes.

Nowadays we laminate our own - possibly printed by a colour inkjet. The can be either pinned on, or attached by a loop.


Oh but round badge machines are such jolly fun. Do any still exist? Big ones I mean. Can you get the blamks?
