Badge Making

Make your own LJ (or other) badge.
I'll have a 2.25" badge maker and badge parts with me. also my laptop with the GIMP and some LJ badge templates for people who want to make one of those. (Hopefully there will be no problems printing...)
Badges are of course not restricted to what you can manage on my laptop. Bring your own graphics and/or laptop, or opt for more traditional artistry with pencils or badge-sized collages. Some materials will be available.
If you prepare your badge in advance, cutting and pressing the badge is the work of a minute, so you can pop back to the disco before the next song starts.
To prepare your badge in advance:
- The badge is a 2.25" circle. Anything to be displayed needs to be within this, for colour that wraps around the edge make your background 2.5" or larger. - Don't cut the badge out after printing. Bring the whole sheet of paper with you and cut it out just before making the badge. This will make sure it's the right size.

Current plan is for the con to cover the cost of badge parts so that people can have one free badge. If you want more badges you can pay for the materials - 40p per badge.
Once made you can proudly wear your badge(s) for the rest of the convention!
Things needed:
Badge Maker & Parts - Provided by Lisa
Laptop with graphics software - Lisa will have one, but more than one would be nice
Printer - planning to use the one in the Fannish Living Room
WiFi access - for getting lj icons/other inages off the web.
Craft Stuff - If people want to get creative they should try to bring what they need.
Suggestions: Pens, pencils, glitter, glue, magazines to cut stuff from, etc
